Trademark registration · All India

Protect your brand name before someone else registers it.

A free search tells you in plain language whether your name can be registered — and what to do if it can't. If it's clear, we handle the filing end to end.

  • Free availability search across the public register
  • Application number in 1–3 working days, then use ™ right away
  • Objection replies and hearings handled, not billed as a surprise

Government fees are paid directly to the Trade Marks Registry and shown to you separately — never bundled into our quote.

What you get

Everything from the first search to the registration certificate

Trademark work goes wrong in the gaps — a wrong class, a thin specification, an examination report nobody replied to. All of it is covered here.

About government fees

The Trade Marks Registry charges a statutory fee of ₹4,500 per class for e-filing by an individual, sole proprietor, startup or MSME, and ₹9,000 per class for companies and everyone else. It is paid to the government, non-refundable, and always quoted to you separately from our professional fee.

How it works

Four steps, and the first one costs you nothing

  1. Tell us the name

Send your brand name and what you sell. That's enough to begin — a call takes ten minutes.

  2. We search and advise

You get a clear answer: file as is, file with a change, or don't file. Free either way.

  3. We file, you get the number

Documents signed, application e-filed. From that date you can legally use ™ alongside your name.

  4. We see it through

Examination, objection replies, hearings, publication. Registration typically lands in 12–18 months when unopposed.

Documents required

A shorter list than most people expect

  • Identity proof of the applicantAadhaar, PAN or passport for an individual or sole proprietor.
  • The logo file, if you're registering a logoA clean image. If you're registering only the word, you don't need one.
  • Udyam / MSME or DPIIT startup certificateWorth finding — it halves the government fee to ₹4,500 per class.
  • Signed Form TM-48The authorisation letter. We prepare it and send it to you to sign.
  • Incorporation certificate, for companies and LLPsPlus the address on record.

No notarisation. No physical visit. Scanned copies over WhatsApp or email are enough.

Not sure which class you need?

Most small businesses need one or two of the 45 classes — but picking the wrong one is expensive to fix later. Tell us what you sell and we'll work it out on the call.

Questions

The things people ask before they call

How long does trademark registration take?
You get an application number within 1–3 working days of filing. Full registration usually takes 12–18 months if the application isn't objected to or opposed. Objections add time but are routine and answerable.
Can I use the ™ symbol immediately?
Yes. From the date of filing you can use ™ next to your name. The ® symbol may only be used after the mark is actually registered — using it earlier is an offence, so don't.
What does the government charge?
₹4,500 per class for e-filing by an individual, sole proprietor, startup or MSME, and ₹9,000 per class for companies and others. It's paid to the Trade Marks Registry, is non-refundable regardless of outcome, and is separate from our professional fee.
What happens if my application is objected to?
An examination report is common and not a rejection. We draft a reply addressing the examiner's grounds, file it within the deadline, and appear at the hearing if one is fixed. This is included in what we quote, not billed separately when it happens.
Someone already has a similar name. Can I still register?
Sometimes. It depends on how similar the marks are, whether they're in the same class, and whether the other mark is registered or merely applied for. This is exactly what the free search answers before you spend anything.
How many classes do I need?
One per category of goods or services you actually offer. Most small businesses need one or two. Filing in classes you don't trade in wastes money and can be challenged for non-use.
Do I need a company to register a trademark?
No. Individuals and sole proprietors can register in their own name, and they pay the lower government fee. If you later incorporate, the mark can be assigned to the company.
Is one registration valid across all of India?
Yes. A single registration covers the whole country. It is valid for ten years from the date of application and can be renewed indefinitely in ten-year blocks.
Do you handle renewals?
Yes, and we track the dates so a mark doesn't lapse quietly. Renewal can be filed up to a year before expiry.
